Submissions are invited from the public on the Draft Road Traffic (Special Speed Limits) (County of Donegal) (Amendment) Bye-Laws 2024.
Road Traffic Act 2024 Number 10 of 2024 provides for the reduction in default speed limit on all local roads, other than local roads in built-up areas from 80km/h to 60km/h.
The Draft Road Traffic (Special Speed Limits) (County of Donegal) (Amendment) Bye-Laws 2024 presents proposed variations to this default speed limit on certain local roads in the County of Donegal. In addition, the 2024 Bye-Law Amendment includes proposed variations to the default speed limit at certain national road locations and public roads within certain housing estates.

in writing marked"Submission - Road Traffic (Special Speed Limits) (County of Donegal) (Amendment) Bye-Laws 2024" to The County Secretariat Office, Donegal County Council, County House, Lifford, County Donegal.
Any submissions must be made before 5pm on Friday the 30th August 2024. All comments, including names and addresses of those making submissions and observations, submitted to Donegal County Council regarding this review, may form part of a report presented at the monthly meeting of Donegal County Council. Accordingly, they will be included in the minutes of that meeting and may appear in the public domain. Donegal County Council will retain data for no longer than is necessary and in accordance with the Council's Data Protection Policy and Privacy Statement (available to view at www.donegalcoco.ie) and relevant Data Protection legislation.
