Old Garda Station Malin Village

 

TAKE NOTICE that Development is proposed to an existing 2 storey building comprising 2 no. properties, namely a former Garda Síochána barracks & an adjoining associated dwelling (Garda accommodation). The works will comprise of the;

  1. the conversion of former Garda Síochána barracks back into a dwelling;
  2. demolition of an existing garage to the rear of the properties;
  3. the demolition of an existing single storey extension to the rear of the former Garda Síochána barracks;
  4. the construction of a new two storey & single storey extension to the rear of the former Garda Síochána barracks;
  5. the construction of a single storey extension to the rear of existing dwelling;
  6. the provision of new rear boundary walls & fences;
  7.  replacement of existing windows & doors;
  8.  alterations to existing rear elevation (blocking up of existing windows & installation of new windows), along with all associated siteworks & connection to existing services


In accordance with Article 120(1)(b)(i) of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 (as amended) Donegal County Council has concluded, based on a preliminary examination of the nature, size, and location of the development, that an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) is not required. Plans and particulars of the proposed development will be available for inspection (or purchase at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy) in the below Council buildings.

 

From Wednesday 10th July to Friday 9th August

 

Submissions or observations with respect to the proposed development may be made in writing to The Planning Office, Donegal County Council, County House, Lifford, County Donegal, F93 Y622, or by Online: Via the Council’s consultation portal https://consult.donegal.ie/en/browse on or before 4.30pm on Friday 23rd August 2024.
