Donegal County Council has approved a draft scheme for the Establishment & Operation of Strategic Policy Committees in Donegal County Council for the period 2024 to 2029 to go to Public Consultation.
The draft scheme can be viewed on http://consult.donegal.ie. A hard copy of the scheme is available upon request from the Council Secretariat, County House, Lifford.
The draft scheme provides for the establishment of Six (6) SPC’s in the following areas:
SPC 1 - Economic Development, Enterprise &
Emergency.
SPC 2 - Roads & Transportation.
SPC 3 - Housing & Corporate.
SPC 4 - Community, Social & Culture.
SPC 5 - Climate Action and Environment.
SPC 6 - Planning.
Membership of the SPC’s will be made up of Elected Members and representatives of the various stakeholders and sectors active in the County.
Members of the public generally, members of community and voluntary organisations and representatives of the various stakeholder sectors are now invited to make a submission to Donegal County Council in relation to the draft scheme.
